Terms of Service
Last updated: August 3, 2026
These terms govern the FractalPark website and its cloud features (accounts, cloud drafts, Community publishing). The software itself is open source; self-hosting it is governed by its license, not by these terms.
The service
FractalPark lets you explore and create fractal art, keep private cloud drafts, and publish artworks to a public Community. The service is provided as-is, with no uptime or data-retention guarantee beyond what the Privacy Policy and the backup runbook describe.
Accounts
Sign-in is by one-time email code. You are responsible for the mailbox you sign in with. One person may hold multiple accounts, but rate limits and quotas apply per account and abuse of limits may lead to suspension.
Your content
You keep every right in what you create. Cloud drafts are private and yours alone. When you publish, you make the artwork public and license its rendered image under CC BY 4.0, so anyone may share and remix it with attribution. The license covers the rendered image layer only — not formula source code, description text, the FractalPark UI, logo, or trademarks. The parameters a remix needs are public by design; never publish secrets. Withdrawing a work removes it from public view but cannot revoke licenses already granted.
The publish attestation
Publishing requires you to confirm that you created the work or hold the rights to publish it under these terms. Publishing content you do not have rights to may get the work hidden and the account suspended.
Moderation and takedown
There is no pre-publication review. The maintainer may hide any published work that violates the Community Rules or draws a credible complaint, and may restore it after review. Hiding is reversible; withdrawal by the owner is permanent. Reports go to contact@fractalpark.com — every public artwork page links there. We do not promise a response time.
Acceptable use
The Community Rules are part of these terms. Automated scraping of private endpoints, attempts to bypass rate limits or permissions, and interference with other users' data are prohibited.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, FractalPark and its maintainer are not liable for lost drafts, lost accounts, or downstream use of published works. Keep your own exports of anything that matters — the app offers one-click download, and optional backup emails.
Changes and contact
Terms changes ship in the open-source repository and move this page's date. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. Contact: contact@fractalpark.com.
